The first generation and pioneer of Hirecraft Marine, Linley Hurt began his business as a hire operator of small launches. A Catalina Flying Boat pilot in WW2, Linley settled in Lake Macquarie and fostered today's leading power boat retailer, Lifestyle Marine.

Lin's son, Geoff Hurt, is the company's current principal and with sons Damien and Simon leading the Sales Team and the Accessory Chandlery respectively, the Hirecraft Marine vision lives on.
